We basically study about what financial institutions do what financial risks are how to manage financial risks how to understand interpret and compute risks and volatilities etc Specifically we study about What financial institutions do to earn profits including what they trade how they trade etc In particular what they do to manage their risks including commercial and investment banks insurance companies mutual funds and hedge funds Also what happened in the credit crisis of 2007 Interest rate risks how to interpret and compute value at risk how to estimate or predict volatility
