Culture and Literature in the Global Context

강좌 소개

This course will introduce students to the movements of cultures and literature from the Christian perspectives and help them to understand the world in the current global context and then build up their Christian leadership in the future In this semester students will read and discuss various literary works and articles focusing on postmodernism and feminist and gender issues and so that they can grasp how women began to open their mouths for their core values that had been oppressed for centuries in the male centered world such as human rights equality liberty and so on It will be advisable for the students to learn and understand the new roles of women in the changing societies and shifting modes of life in the postmodern era (from first wave feminism through postfeminism or the third wave feminism) However the real goal of this course is not only understand womens positions and roles from the feminist perspectives but also from Christian world views
